Guest guest
" Fungal skin infections can be diagnosed by taking a scraping and looking at it under the microscope by a family doctor or dermatologist. Hope that helps. Marjorie " Does that include fungal related illnesses such as Seborrheic Dermatitis or Pitysprorum folliculitus? Could a derm look at a skin scraping under the microscope and tell if one of those two things is occurring in the prescence of yeast? (a type of fungus)

(a type of fungus) Adam, I am not a doctor but I believe the diagnosis cannot be made based on microscopic examination only. They would need to let the cultures grow to determine if yeast or other fungus is present. Alena
