I'm very disturbed by all the negative comments that have been made about the very surgery that is saving my life. I don't understand why anyone is allowed to compromise the integrity of this list just because they are hormonal. I am also going through a hormonal change but I have been able to contain myself. Irrational behavior has a tendency to wipe out a person's credibility....no matter how knowledgeable they are. In my opinion that is what I have witnessed on this list. It's really sad. At first I read these unbelievable posts and just laughed to myself because they were so ludicrous. Then it got to the point that it was no longer funny. I feel as if I have endured an emotional beating by someone that I used to respect. I choose not to inflict any undue pain and anguish upon this list when my hormones/cortisol are on a rollercoaster ride. Foolish me, I thought my fellow MGBers would have the same courtesy. I look to this list to be an uplifting positive aspect of my surgery. I feel it has been abused and I am sorry that one person has assumed it's ok to to inflict such behavior on the other members of this list. I have always tried to be kind and supportive for everyone here but I feel that irrational behavior should be tolerated for only so long. The whole process with the insurance is so frustrating, and I'm afraid without people like you, many will give up on a procedure that will help them live a normal fulfilling life, and maybe even save their lives. You will be hurting yourself and many others by leaving because of " one person, " as you put it. This might not work for you, but maybe you could just skip over the posts from that person. Everyone is different and since you can't change them, you can always change you--change the way you react to them by not letting them assume so much importance. Feel free to tell me to go fly a kite, but I don't even know you, yet clearly feel a great deal of warmth beaming from your posts.
