Guest guest
Trish, They TOLD your daughter she was overweight? Maybe I am overly sensitive but I don't think I'd have liked that! Presley is not the only one, although my used to be on the thin size (60 lbs at age 9), now she is 18, 5'3 " and weighs close to 150. She really doesn't like this at all, and she hates it if I mention I weighed 115 at her age. Can't tell you what I weigh now, but it is a lot more that what Ang weighs. I think she looks good and the CF clinic docs and nutrition people are thrilled but she still doesn't like it. Oh and yes she needs enzymes but she " forgets " them quite often. I am ignoring that but I'll mention it at clinic next time. Maybe she doesn't really need them anymore, I have seen (or smelled) obvious need for them. I always though that once you needed enzymes you always would but I guess there are always exceptions to the rule. oh well. love,

Guest guest
, For them to tell Presley that she was overweight to me was as funny as all get out, and for them to tell us that she was the only one with an overweight problem that they see was funny too. We have always been told that she will be skinny, and that she would have trouble gaining weight, so I see it as proving them wrong (I think that's my goal in life, proving them wrong!) They diagnosed her with B. Cepacia several years ago, and I almost fell apart, I read nothing good at all about it. She had her tonsils out a year or so ago, and they did a lung washing and tested for it and it came back negative. So I don't know if they were mistaken the first time or if it's dormant waiting to rear its ugly head. Trish Re: schooling/Trish Trish, They TOLD your daughter she was overweight? Guest guest
Well that's good if Presley thought it was funny, I guess. We always used to think Ang would always be skinny, but she has proved them wrong too. It's just hard being a teenager and having all the " thin is good " messages poked at them. My father in law said something about being fat once, and I got on him about it. oh well. I sure am glad the cepacia went away, and I hope it doesn't come back! love, RE: schooling/Trish , For them to tell Presley that she was overweight to me was as funny as all get out, and for them to tell us that she was the only one with an overweight problem that they see was funny too.
