Hi Asta, I do recognize these symptoms, including the rash. In my experience it is an " allergic " reaction to a product. Unfortunately when I used the vita-oil and her cover-up powder I also had a bad reaction. (very bad...I also got red welts on my cheeks which had never happened to me!) Many use and love her products but I've heard quite a few posts here from people that have not reacted well to them. If it were me I would stop the other products too because extreme dryness seems to open the door for further inflammation and irritation to begin. Somehow you need to protect the outer layer with a little oil or moisture at least. Is there something you used prior that you could go back too? Have you ever tried another oil? Sy's vita-oil contains other ingredients besides jojoba. You might try sweet almond oil, safflower, olive, or jojoba in it's pure state. Hope this helps,
Guest guest
Hi Asta, I am sorry to hear that you have such problems with your dry skin. I cannot comment on that and I have no experience with either of the products you mentioned. The only thing that I would like to say that I personally would avoid trying more than just one new product at a time. Otherwise, it is really hard to determine which product caused what problem, or was it perhaps the combination of all three? Long time ago, when I was learning about computer hardware, I learned the golden rule that you always change only one thing at a time, and you write down what change you made (that was in the era of jumpers and other gizmos, long before plug and play). I think it applies to us as well, both in skin care and also in nutrition. If you are changing your skin care regime, don't change the cleanser and the moisturizer at the same time. If you are on avoidance diet, introduce a new component, again one at a time. I have just completed two weeks on HerbaCort and am still quite happy with it (though I am NOT saying that I could not be happier. ) I am thinking of giving Gold Bond a try, but it won't be until much later. Now I will test a sunscreen and I will make a desision about a potential change later on. Good luck, Alena
