No one mentioned this when we bought our glass top stove 5 years ago. I have

been using cast iron on it daily since then. Luckily, no problems!

Not with the stove I have now but the one that I used to have it

caughtioned against using cast iron pans on the glass top. It said

that they could cause the top to break.

Maybe the newer ones are better.

No one mentioned it when we bought ours either. It was in the

manual that I read about it. I also posted some time ago on another

board and someone there also brought up the fact that this can

happen. I have been considering calling the company that made ours

and ask if it is still relivant to our stove as it wasn't in its

manual.
