Guest guest
Hello All, I've picked up some Gold Bond (in the green bottle) and am trying it. Today is day two... Today, I seem to have more breakouts that yesterday - but that may be due to food and stress vs. the Gold Bold. I will keep you posted on what I discover. An interesting side note - I have had a rash/irritation on my back that worsens (but doesn't improve 100% ever) if I don't use a chlorine filter. On a lark, I decided to put the Gold Bond on my back and WOW - it made an enormous difference with one application. So that was a cool discovery - even if perchance the Gold Bond doesn't work for my rosacea. But, I'm hopeful that it will be as helpful as Mike and others have found it for themselves. Have a great weekend all! Cheers, ~Janece ************************** Listen First. Then Design. Guest guest
Hi There! I know that the back and face are different -- I wasn't trying to correlate them... just a happy accident in terms of my back rash. As far as the Gold Bond product that I picked up (the green bottle, Extra Strength Triple Action Gold Bond Medicated Moisturizing Body Lotion for Dry & Itchy Skin.. whew that's a long name!).. it does have menthol (.5%). I haven't had any reactions to it so far at all. It has taken down swelling, cooled any burning and removed redness when I've applied it. I don't know the long term effects for me yet... as this is day 3. I'll keep you posted. I'm happy to be a guinea pig. Have a great weekend! ~Janece Re: Giving Gold Bond a try... the folliciles and sebaceou glands are different on the back compared to the face. what you apply to your face must pass a much more stringent anti comedogenic test. by the way, dr nase, in his book, clearly explains to avoid menthol, camphor, eucalyptus oil, and peppermint oil. doesn't gold bond contain menthol or one of the others?
