Applesauce Recipe:

7 Cups tart cooking apples, peeled, cored, and sliced

¼ Cup water

Combine apples and water in 3-quart glass bowl. Cover with glass lid or plastic

wrap.

Microwave on HIGH for 8 to 11 minutes or until apples are tender and can be

chopped into

small pieces with a spoon. Add 1/4 cup or amount of honey to your taste if

desired.

Cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes more. Stir and serve warm or cold as chunky

sauce, or

strain through food mill or colander or blend with hand blender.

throw the below in a slow cooker for 3 hours and tada - beautiful

applesauce. i'm avoiding the micro for cooking as it is supposed to be

an evil device. not sure i believe that but just in case the slow cooker

is so easy it now lives on my counter beside my blender and mini chopper

and they all get along fine.
