Kay ,

I am going to be self pay. I am pre-op. From what I understand. If

you pay cash, You HAVE to give the Hospital 11,000 upfront and anything you

dont use they reimburse you, and if you owe they probably make you empty bed

pans till they receive the moola. Then you have aproximatly 1,000 to

anesthesia, and to the Master of all trades we owe aproximately 3,500 or so

and that includes the clinic. Am I close??? Let me know if I am wrong, God I

hope it got better since I last checked!! But, Anyhow I hope I am close and

it helps. God bless you! margie SC

Anyone, Help. I have been approved and can have a surgery date anytime

after July19. My insurance just hasn't come through. I haven't heard from

my appeal. Anyone who had to self pay, I would appreciate it if you

wouldn't mind telling me how much money you had to have. Someone said

$12,000, but someone else said Barbara said $16,000. I'm in a hurry, can

anyone please tell me. Thanks so much.

Dear Kris,

Thanks a bunch for the confirmation on the cost. I know it varies from person

to person as far as the hospital goes. I am glad to hear that you are doing

good though that is always comforting. Keep us posted and I am sure I will

agree with you on the recovery tee hee. But, On the other hand It is Ohhhhh

soo well worth it huh? Margie SC

Kris,

Thanks for the information. It does really hurt to spend that much money,

especially when you pay very large insurance premiums every month. However,

I see this as my chance at a quality life finally and I feel it is worth it.

By the way, I have a date with the doc on August 2. I can't remember being

this excited since I was told I was pregnant 31 years ago. thanks again.
