Okay, this is great information but I'm still wondering about stool tests for

candida and gluten/casein/lactose intolerance. Any thoughts?

Guess what Guys, our story is a little different.....OUR CELIAC BLOOD WORK WAS

NEGATIVE...I insisted on the biopsy on both me and my husband and IT CAME BACK

POSITIVE FOR CELIAC DISEASE/Celiac Sprue! Our kids clearly showed all the signs

(they where comfirmed by doctor with out any of our " negative tests " !.......at

first THEY thought it was only about gluten....and then once thought it could be

the proteins in dairy.......and now to know what Elaine knew (something that

none of these doctors could tell us!).....I wish we would have known this 15

months ago....you see the gluten free diet gave a little relief....and CF diet a

little more....when we became so desperate we limited ourselves even more and

ate only fruits, meats and vegetables (cheating often with starch and sugar/not

to mention our vitamins and supplements having it in it).....more yet....BUT

NOTHING LIKE THE SUCCESS WE ARE HAVING NOW! You see, Celiac Disease is so

misunderstood! THE CSA-USA (Celiac Sprue

Association) gets 6 to 8 calls a week with people like us who are not faring

well on the gluten free diet (all diagnosed with Celiac Disease!). Thought I

would add this to the conversation....tests are not everything! We would have

slipped through the cracks/ my entire family...if it hadn't been for my

persistence, pissing doctors off (even being fired by one!)....and finding two

that would finally listen.

Re: Re: recommended tests

I was diagnosed with celiac via the blood test. Yes, my doctor could have

ordered the biopsy, but he said I would know for sure just by going on the

gluten free diet.

Hi Gwen!

I must have missed the post with your question. What exactly were you

wondering? My kids had tests for all the things you mentioned. They were urine

tests (OAT . . . organic acid profile tests) done by Great Plains Laboratories.

Is this what you were wondering?

Jeni Lynn (gastrointestinal problems)

SCD 1 month

mom to Margeaux, 6 yr. (gastrointestinal problems, heavy metal toxicity, add)

, 3 yr. (gastrointestinal problems, heavy metal toxicity)

Elle, 18 mo. (leaky gut, heavy metal toxicity, eczema)

SCD 3 months
