I took your advice (At least I think it was your advice?) I still get

confused as soon as I get off the computer. Who wrote what? Maybe a

sign of old age! lol

Anyways, Icalled bcbs of al and asked for " Georgia Brown " after a

long wait she came on the phone. Everyone was very polite and she

explained to me the proces of the letter that Dr. R faxed to them. It

is not yet on the system, but when it finds its way to the system she

will be able to report onthe progress. In talking to me she tried to

be helpful and told me that I would be required to have a visit with

Dr. R in Durham before they would give me approval. She did not say

this as a fact she said that was probably the way it would go,

because that was the way most approvals went. I tried to handle it

very lightly and said something like, " well maybe they want ask me to

do that. " but she scared the h_ll out of me. I can't afford to fly to

Durham for approval or not!!! and then fly out again for the surgery.

(I don't suppose bcbs will pay for that..) Anyways now I am a nervous

wreck again. hope I don't have a breakdown before I can schedule this

surgery. lol! Anyone else have to have this pre authorization visit

with Dr. R?
