I'm good to go! Barbara called me this morning and my packet was approved.

Fighting the 4:45 traffic in Durham yesterday to get the packet in was worth

it!

(By the way in Chapel Hill, it is NORTH on I-85 off of 15-501, not

south, LOL!)

My tentative date of the 14th is now a real surgery date!!! Barbara had a

question about my blood pressure medication because she didn't recognize the

name but after I told her what it was she said that everything was good. I

guess if you have a med that they aren't sure of, they will have to email Dr.

R to make sure it is ok.

I know Lara is waiting to hear on her packet and I have no idea what the

question is, but Barbara did remind me that Dr. R is on vacation and might

not want to answer email daily. (I'm still holding my breath for you Lara -

turning blue as a matter of fact. :-))

It looks like we are getting a regular gang here in Chapel Hill. That is

great. I hope we can be big supporters for each other. Now I have to decide

what I want to eat one more time for the next 2 weeks!

Ok, so those waiting for approval on the packet or still getting it together.

I was anal retentive. I had everything in order as listed on the website,

with my name written at the top of each group. Each item was stapled or

paperclipped together and then I put the little yellow sticky notes as tabs

for each item with the name of the category.

Everything I did personally was generated off the computer. I made a blank

physical form for my doctor that listed all the categories Dr. R wanted

addressed and she went through it making pertinent notes for each item. I

pre-filled some of the info out for my Dr. such as family history, etc..

Finally, for good measure I included an excell spreadsheet and chart that

tracked my weight history for the last 15 years, taking the weights off of my

medical records. That way my Dr. didn't have to do it.

If anyone has any questions that I can answer about what I've done thus far,

just let me know.
