Guest guest
I just read about a clinical study done to test the role the pancreas might play in cea (the reason for testing this was that many cea sufferers complained about digestional problems) The study showed that much of what they were initially testing for came back normal, but that lipase levels were on average between 20-66% lower in cea sufferers than in non-cea sufferers. All I know about Lipase is that its an enzyme that digests fats. I wonder if this deficiency might be partially to blame for cea? Undigested fats would also cause a perhaps even sub-clinical immune response correct? (increased IgG in the bloodstream..) Unfortunately I think that would be way too oversimplified.. (Even the pitiful amount of money going into cea research today would most likely have been able to make That connection by now) But perhaps this explains why a diet high in vegetables and low in saturated fats seems to improve some people's rosacea (of course there are other plausable explanations for this too.. the sugar connection, the wheat connection etc) P.S. Does anybody have any clue why cea research seems to have peaked in 1982? It seems to me that practically every other medical article written on the subject of cea was written way back in 1982.. There's almost no good modern articles anywhere (That I have found) Adam
