I find this topic interesting. I am on Depo shots so I haven't had a period

in over 2 years, but after every ERCP I have had I spot very lightly for

about 24 hours. Wonder if we have stubbled on a link.

Yes, I have had pancreatic problems linked to menstrual cicles.

More pain and more nausea too.

My gyn. do not have any concern about that.

By the way some months are better than others.

I tried to use pills but for me was worse.

I think that you´re not alone.

As I also have CF, I had months that I also have more respiratory

issues and nose bleeding close to my periods, some CF girls

have this too.

All the best,

Last year my 13 yr old, 12 at the time, seemed to have bad spasms

around her cycle. The last several months I've kept records and it

did not look like it was related to her cycle. But this past week

she has had a very bad attack, and she was due to start. So now that

she started I am hoping she recovers quickly from this flare up. So

now I am going to be watching very closely. I don't know what will

help if this is causing attacks. I sure hope it doesn't happen like

this every month cuz this was a bad one. Maybe one day we will get

some answers. Talk to ya soon,

Me too. Of course, right now I'm not even having my cycle at

all. It stopped a couple of months ago. So now I need to go

see a GYN about that too! (Not that I really miss it though

;) )

Yes, I too think that this goes along the lines of hormonal ups and

downs. I always would have a mild attack along with my period. I

haven't had a period for a year now so I am going to the GYN doctor

pretty soon about it but I haven't missed them. Stay away from any

estrogen though. My GI doctor told me that he never wanted me to be

on it or birth control pills because that can mess with your pancreas.

oh good. I'm not the only one who's cycles have stopped. I'm

in the process of getting a GYN so I can find out about mine

stopping too. And no, I don't miss them either.

I've tried my best to stay away from hormone replacement therapy. I

have other things going on that makes it risky for me but the only

problem is unlike you lucky ones that don't get their cycle,

mine wouldn't go away! Something had to be done. My doctor is

well aware of the other problems but after 4 months something was

gonna give and it was looking like it would be me! Thanks for the

caution though, gives me something else to watch for.
