Guest guest
Hi Bobbie, I am a little behind my emails so you may have already gotten your answer, but here goes. The browner the bowel movement, the healthier it is, sort of. A healthy bowel movement should be dark brown in color, well-formed, firm, and float. It also should not smell that bad. If it is tan or yellowish, that indicates it has not spent enough time in the digestive tract and the food has not been fully digested. I don't know the color of your child's BMs before SCD so I can't comment on whether his light brown BM is an improvement or not. Given that his previous days BM was orangish and mushy, the color sounds like a slight improvement, but it also sounds like it was runnier than the previous day's. Is that true?
