Guest guest
> HI guys > I am having a level two appeal where I can attend and hopefully Dr.R > will be on the phone. I've written about this a couple of times. I am having my Level II appeal on June 1st. My insurance company is Healthsource now Cigna. After speaking to the appeals representative, I felt that this still was going to get approval because they where looking at as an administrative appeal not a medically necessary appeal. I got nervous about winning so last Friday I hired Walter Lindstrom. I fed- exed all my documentation and he will be on a phone conference with the committee on Thursday. Who is your insurance company? How did you go about " booking " Dr. Rutledge for the phone conference. That's a great idea. I didn't even think about it, but that should certainly " carry some weight " . Wishing us both good luck and success. , Denver NC. Fighting with Healthsource since 2/19. Guest guest
You can find him at www.obesitylaw.com. His fee is between $350.00 and $700.00. Not a bad price considering if you were self pay it would cost you $14,000. If you need any more help just let me know. Lara
Guest guest
, I know what you mean about being nervous. I feel like this is my last chance. Although I do believe you can follow up with your state ins dept. If you believe you have been wrongfully denied. I also recieved an agreement to have him represent me. But I worry if I'm denied I just spent $14,000 for the surgery. I cant spend another $750. Please let me know how it goes on the 1st. Maybe if your approved than I might think about hiring him. I have Prudntial Ins(their terrible) I gave up BC/BS in Jan(now I want to kick myself:) About Dr.R I just asked him before I decided to self pay. He says he would help but I hope he doesnt get so busy that day and forget. See my ins.co.denied me for two reasons. They believe the doc here in NJ does the same surgery(RNY and I have tried to explain on deaf ears) and they say it's experimental(again 600 cases fell on deaf ears) So I think if it explained by DR R it might carry more weight(no pun intended:) ) Well again I wish you all the luck and keep me posted.
