Hi All, I was wondering if anyone new of a ASD support group whose

mission was to focus on positive change for children and families

afflicted by ASD.I have looked into a fiew groups and am dissapointed

to see that their main objective is to accept their children and not

believe in curing them.I am stund that people believe that people are

more concerned about their own acceptance of their situation and note

the health of their child. If my child had another illness ex.cancer I

would do everything to help him be cured what is the difference .I need

to talk to people who share my perspective does anyone know of any

support groups either in Canad or the USA ??? Thanks TONI

Toni,

I don't know of any specific groups in Canada, but check the database:

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/database

People have voluntarily listed their names and e-mail addresses.

There are several listed from Canada. Perhaps one of them knows of a

support group or might be willing to start one with you.

I assume that many of them are interested in curing their children

since they are doing biomedical interventions like SCD.

Keep in mind though, that some of them are adults on SCD for

themselves (GI issues).
