Lara, for out of staters, clinic is Tuesday, surgery is Wed, Thurs or

Friday. And if you're in town and scheduled for Thurs or Friday and he has

an earlier opening, he may move you up like he did Genz.

Terri,

Whoops!! I went wild on the delete button and accidently lost your web

page address. Please send it again!!! Thanks... I'll be more careful next

time.

Thanks for the nice reply. I feel ten times more informed by just being

on the mailing list a couple of days. The hardest part is getting all the

stuff together for Dr. Rutledge, in my opinion. It's like pulling teeth to

get medical records...people lie and say they sent them when they didn't,

etc., etc.

I work at a doctor's office and I understand about medical records

because we are swamped...we get 10 or more requests daily for letters,

copies of charts 10 inches thick, etc. But I've been wrestling around with

the same people since April 8 and am getting nowhere fast!!!

However, my heart really goes out to those folks who were denied

insurance. You work, pay premiums, and for what??!!! Does it make sense to

pay thousands for all our co-morbidity issues but refuse to pay for obesity

treatment itself????

I have insurance approval, I've had all my tests, I just need the rest

of my medical records and my PCP's letter (he already agreed to take care of

me). My first clinic is on Tuesday, June 6. I hope to meet some of you

nice folks then....

I went to clinic on tuesday and had the surgery on wed. You have to go to a

clinic before you can have the surgery.
