Guest guest
I have Great West (Preferred Provider) and it covered my surgery, 7-26-99. I had to pay $750.00 out of pocket but most of that was deductibles. They also required some extra documentation, such as a diet history, Drs. letter, and a psych eval but at the time I had my surgery Dr. R required all of that too. ** For those of you looking for contacts most of us longer time post ops do answer individual requests for contacts but just can't answer the requests listed on the list in addition to the 20 or more a week we individually get. I try to answer individual questions if they are not answered in my " form " letter but find most are. As great as life is as a post op I will never forget the journey I have taken to get here and am willing to help those that ask. Just be patient if it takes me awhile I may be off riding my mountain bike, trekking through the woods with my grandchildren, out of town, or off doing a multitude of things I couldn't do before! One thing about this MGB I find I can't be a fat frumpy housewife anymore even if I want to be! ** Also the person looking for someone who lost weight prior to having surgery, Cheryl Klein lost weight to have the surgery. Might try contacting her. She was going out of the country to visit her husband's family and her mother has been extremely ill so be patient. in Minnesota Mini Gastric Bypass 7-26-99 Dr. Rutledge Highest weight 343 BMI 57 Surgery wt. 315 BMI 52 Current wt. 200 BMI 33 Lbs. 115 *since surgery*
