Guest guest
I take one tablespoon of flaxseed oil a day which is 1000 mgs. It does help my skin dryness and my hair too. I'm embarrassed to say I don't recall how many mg are in a gram!! Have wondered if I should increase the dosage and/or start taking some of the other oils I know about (borage, primrose, etc.) Sufficient fatty acids also are supposed to help reduce inflammation. carrie --- mightybubbles2001 mands@...> wrote: > I read this in a book. Guest guest
1000 milligrams (mg) per gram. 1000 millimetres in a metre, etc (except for a millipede which should be a kilopede!!) BTW 1 tablepoon is a lot more than 1000mg (1g). A tablespoon is about 15 millilitres (mL) or half a fluid ounce, which would be well over 10g (10,000mg). If means a teaspoon thats 5 mL or about 4g (4000mg). Barry Hunt Re: DSM/EFA Ditto on not remembering what equals what but I do take 3 to 6 of the 1000 mg emu oil gel-caps a day. Guest guest
hi barry, your comments here made me re-check my " facts " . I'm sorry it looks like i mixed up my bottled flaxseed oil and my capsules. my capsules say 1000mg per and the bottled stuff is not calculated in mgs. (it's in my studio kitchen, and i'm at home right now so can't check) . i have been wondering what two equal dosages of the capsules and the oil would be....now i know! thanks! carrie --- " Hunt, Barry " Barry.Hunt@...> wrote: > 1000 milligrams (mg) per gram. > 1000 millimetres in a metre, etc > > (except for a millipede which should be a > kilopede!!) > > BTW 1 tablepoon is a lot more than 1000mg (1g). > A tablespoon is about 15 > millilitres (mL) or half a fluid ounce, which > would be well over 10g > (10,000mg).
