I will keep you in my prayers as I am sure everyone on the list will

also. I know the extra lbs. will come off once you get the insurance stuff

settled. Keep us posted.

If you see someone without a smile:

Give them one of yours :-)

Dear Ann,

Sorry to leave everyone hanging...I did hear from my insurance

company and they 'ran' Dr. R's letter by the nurse and she said that

I would definitely have to go before the review board. That will

take anywhere from 10 days to 6 weeks. If they disapprove me I will

still fight and send a letter of appeal in to them. I am getting

SOOO depressed because I have gained ANOTHER 10 pounds. My knees are

so swollen as are my hands. I am going back to my PCP and see if she

can put me on Fastin while I wait for this surgery. I woke up

yesterday morning and was so thirsty. All my biological studies come

back to me and I know this is one of the first signs of diabetes, and

I DON'T WANT ANOTHER CO-MORBIDITY...(I have enough, thank you).

Crossing my fingers that we both go through. I want this surgery not

only for me but everyone on the list that would benefit from it.

Take Care,

Love,

I finally heard from Cigna today. They have received my pre-approval

request, and it has been forwarded to the review people with

a " rush " . Don't know if it makes a difference, but the review group

is in Sherman, TX. Maybe this is a state-by-state thing?

I also found out that I am still on my husband's insurance. I will

be dropped shortly, so want to know what Cigna is going to do ASAP.

He has United Healthcare, and they seem to be pretty good about

approval. Don't know for sure if my PCP is in their network, but it

is another option that I may need to explore soon. Divorce is coming

up quick, and he is planning on marrying in August, so don't think I

can stall for very long.

Please keep us posted on how yours is going, and I will do the same.
