Guest guest
Hi Gang, My surgery Friday was suppose to be at 12:00, I arrived at 7:00(long Wait) they immediately sent me to amulatory care where they put me in a room and we waited and waited. Finally about 11:00 they told me to the holding area, there they started my IV, Dr. R. came by and said we would be ready in a little while. I was awake when I went into the operating room but was put to sleep immediately. When I woke up I was in the recovery room and they was telling me to breathe deep. They gave me something immediately for pain. Dr. came out and talk to my husband and told him all went well and it took him 32 minutes. Friday night I didn't sleep much at the hospital they had those things on my legs that breathed every few minutes. (everytime I dozed off they would inflate and wake me up, plus they were very hot. The rest of the time the nurses were waking me up so I just stayed up most of the night. Was discharged Sat. morning after Dr. R. came in. We drove back home 2 hours no problems I took an afternoon nap, Slept like a baby last night. I am feeling great today went to Church, Grocery store & Big Lots. I even went for a short walk in my neighborhood. (Never been on a neighborhood walk before.) I can't believe how good I feel. Dr. R and all of the hospital staff was great. And the best part of all of this is my bone spurs in my heels are not bothering me at all!! I could actually walk good today. Hope all my littermates are doing good!! Talk to ya soon! Guest guest
Hi Marie, Isn't it interesting how different everyone is. I arrived at 7am, waited until around 10:00ish, I think, they took me back, asked me a bunch of questions. Couldn't find my EKG so they had to redo it. Waited only a few minutes before my limo (gurney) arrived and took me to the holding area. They started my IV and Dr. R. walked by, wiggled my toe and said see you in a few minutes. I was getting really restless and thinking. Some really handsome guy came up and said he was going to give me something to relax. The next thing I remember is being put into my room and my sister and hubby was there to great me. My hubby put up my sign on the door and I was awake off and on until around 5:15 that evening. I remember them fussing over me alot. I had jello I never ate and juice I never drank and tons of ice. The pump, I have to admit, didn't do alot for me. That night, I could NOT sleep. The leg thingies didn't bother me at all except when I had to use the bathroom. I had to be unhooked. They brought me my breakfast the next morning and I basically just looked at it. Dr. R came by and in his cheery self talked with me and said well, we have been conversing for over a year and you finally made it! I left about 9:30ish when my hubby showed up. My sister in law took care of me that whole week until I got confused and decided to leave a day early cuz I didn't hear from you. Oh well. It IS good to be back home! That's about it for my story. a furball2u@... wrote: > > Hi Gang, > My surgery Friday was suppose to be at 12:00,
