Guest guest
Just wanted to share an anectode. My 3 ASD kids have been SCd since the summer. My 2 year old twins were great responders, one more than the other. Recently they started a school program and have been stressed out at snack/lunchtime because the want the other kids' foods. I decided that I would give it a try, allowing them to remain gluten, casein, soy, corn and egg FREE but allow other grains and test it out. Within 1 week my daughter who was the great SCD responder completely crashed, massive diarrhea, abdominal distention, miserable, night wakings, gas...I couldnt have asked for a more clear sign that this diet was helping. Now I have to start over, but with a new resolve, now that I know that I am doing it for a reason... So...if anyone has recipes for cookies or breads that are SCD and egg free I need help!!!! They need to think they are not missing out! Karin
Guest guest
I homeschool both of my kids. There are a lot of people who who homeschool these days, for a variety of reasons. For me, it's more of a matter of knowing my children and knowing how they learn. I'd rather do it myself than fight the school.
