Research and Community education outreach among SE Idaho's Hispanic

farmworker population. Extensive ethnographic interviewing, community

needs assessments, focus groups, local clinic chart reviews, binational

comparisons and binational promotora program with sending community in

Guanajuato.

The group, composed of Hispanic farmworkers from Mexico and students

and faculty from ISU have done detailed research concerning health

needs from the community's perspective, health beliefs and are now

developing culturally appropriate, literacy level appropriate materials

to use in home based education programs with promotoras de salud in SE

Idaho and Guanajuato Mexcio.
