Dear Trish and Rexanne and ,

I called and talked to and gave her the inside info. I am going to

try to get on the postop list, told me how. I'll give you some

details there. Bobsy is doing great but she won't let me cheat one bit.

She won't even let me have one bite of her sandwich because the Pt. Ed.

Manual talked " bread balling " up in your new tummy. I keep trying to tell

her that one bite or this or that is not going to ruin me. It was eating

half the pizza that got me in trouble pre-op and I just can't do that

post-op. :-)

Hey Dr. Bill,

I enjoyed our conversation. Tell Bobsy that the first bread I tried was

1/2 a tuna salad on toast and it went down just fine. The crusty tops of

biscuits did ok too. Try to stay away from the really soft breads for a little

while longer. I just checked the Supplement Facts for Flintstones Complete

Chewables......there is NO vitamin K in them. So you might give them a try.

By the way there are around 15-20 s on this list so I go by Genz.

But you can call me anything you like.....just call me.....ha..ha. Hope you

find your way to the post-op list soon. Keep in touch.

Best Wishes,

Genz

Dear le,

I am in Huntsville. I really got tickled at your message to Rexanne!

I know some good dentists in Montgomery. There is a Dr. Leigh Anne Nevins

who is on the board of directors and an officer with me in the Alabama

Academy of General Dentistry. I also have some classmates from 1982, Dr.

Camille and Dr. Bob . Good luck.

Hi Debbie,

We did a head count a few weeks back between the s and the

s. It was a real tight race. I guess Debbie would be right there with

us...... The main thing is we

all have a name.....ha..ha.... Truth is I answer to just about anything....When

I was a kid and my Mom wanted one of us kids she would do a roll call until she

got the right name, it didn't matter if it was a boy or girl. I find myself

doing the same thing now....I always thought it was a Czechoslovakian heritage

thing...but now I'm wondering if it's age related.

Genz,

That's interesting you thought your mother used the roll call. I thought the

same thing growing up. It got to the point when she started we would finish

the list so we could find out who she really wanted. Boy! isn't life great.

By the way, I am pre-op and have enjoyed the posts from everyone. I do have

some favorites such as le, (whom I met in Durham), , you, K, the

ladies from Florida and Georgia, and the list goes on.

I am especially excited to see some of the post ops who have created miracles

in their lives by fighting with the " world " to get what they wanted. I hope

I do not have a hard time with my insurance company. So far they know I have

been scheduled for the surgery. I didn't have all of my paperwork in so I

could not have the MGB.

Keep the testimonies coming, I need lots of support.

Dear ,

I am a grateful post-op MGB060200! I am down 30+lbs. and 3-4 inches in my

waist.

My license is not good in NC or we could have worked a deal. Dentistry is

always looking for good employees, I would go for it or send out business

cards as being available for fill in work. Several people in the Huntsville

are do that and are a busy as they want to be!

Yours,

Dr. Bill

Hi Genz!

Age related would be the case, IMO! There were 8 of us growing up and my

folks would do the same thing. Now they do it with all the grandkids, even

calling them our (the kids') names! Too funny! And of course, my hubby and

I do the same! Oh well, my grandad used to say, " You can call me anything,

just don't call me late to dinner. "

Dear Dr. Bill,

Congratulations on your successful passing to the other side and

your weight loss! Thank you for the recommendation too about handing

out my card. I never thought about that before. (There is still the

'chair' issue though...lol Maybe I could work for a 'stand-up' oral

surgeon...smile)
