Guest guest
I have recently been diagnosed and have seen plenty of foods I am not supposed to eat. Does anyone know of a list of foods or recipes that should be OK? Thanks, Cliff S. Atlanta

Generally theses diets exclude wheat, dairy, sugar(s), maybe soy, processed foods - food groups that are known to cause allergic reactions or sensitivities in some people. Then you can start adding things back into your diet to see how you react. I like this book: " Lick the Sugar Habit " by Appleton. When I first officially got rosacea, I followed her outline and it helped me immensely. Also, try checking out a great site called " www.wholehealthmd.com " . They discuss supplements appropriate for rosacea and also have a cool recipe/kitchen section. Check out the " rosacea diet " too. There is a link to it on this group's main site. Hope that helps! carrie

Guest guest
Cliff, When you check out Brady's diet there are a few things you should keep in mind. The premise behind it is very good. I was unable to stick with it, but I do try to encorporate several suggestions from his diet into my daily routine (more veggies, less carbs) and it works. It really does help. (Doesn't keep things under control for me or anything, but arguably that could be because I still eat some of the stuff that the diet says not to). I think he has a very helpful support group going. But, his diet does recommend certain foods that are known cea tripwires I believe (like tomatos?) I don't have the diet right in front of me, but I just wanted to say, that if you think you might have the will-power, I would try his diet, but you may need to make one or two moderations based on your own known cea triggers. I don't know of any foods that are definitely ok to eat for everybody, but I think Broccoli is a good bet. The entire broccoli group actually (Forget what its called) should be relatively safe I believe. Alot of people also do well with fish (has Omega-3s I think..) but then others, such as myself, have a problem with it. Usually, veggies are the best food you can eat for cea (minus tomatoes and maybe eggplant) Adam Re: Foods that are OK > check the comments available to the public at the cea Diet Users > Support Group at this url: > > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rosacea-diet-users-support-group > > you may read Pascoe's Review of the cea Diet at this url: > > http://rosacea.ii.net/reviews.html > > -- > Brady Barrows - webmaster for > http://www.rosaceans.com > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rosaceans > http://www.rosacea-control.com > http://www.rosaceadiet.com > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rosacea-diet-users-support-group > > > > > I have recently been diagnosed and have seen plenty of foods I am not > > supposed to eat.
