Guest guest
Hi, I don't have much time to post these days but want to share this good news. When I bought the herbs for Fiona's herbal tea I asked the lady in the shop, whether she knows of a natural remedy against Silke's pregnancy heartburn. " Sure " she said, gave me a paper bag with the hairs of corn cobs (don't know whether there is a special word for this in english) and told me that her daughter had seen great results during her pregnancy. Silke drank two cups of that tea a day since Thursday and the heartburn was gone immediately. She sat out one day yesterday to make sure it wasn't coincidence and the heartburn returned. Today she is symptomfree again. I haven't found any info in german about that remedy and heartburn but I thought the idea is so weird, it has to be true, LOL. I don't know whether it only helps against pregnancy heartburn or in other cases of heartburn too. But since it is so cheap (less than 50 cents an ounce) it may be worth a try. Silke takes as much as she can pick with two fingers for one large cup, boils it in water and waits for ten minutes then before she drinks the tea. Tastes not very much different from hot water. Guest guest
Dunno about an English word for it...but the Southern USA word I learned as a kid is " corn silk " . I learned this from my mom while I was shucking and de-silking corn. I have no idea if there's a more proper term. Shanna mom of Triana, age 2 wcf Heartburn cured!
