Guest guest
When Dr. Nase first mentioned chamomile oil back in '99, I bought it in person at Rainbow Grocery in San Francisco for over $20 for about 1/2 an ounce. I bought roman chamomile oil, which was more expensive than the blue chamomile oil they had. I don't know if there are more than two varieties of chamomile oil, but Rainbow carried just these two. The only difference between the two oils was that the blue chamomile was blue-colored while the other had a light amber color. Roman chamomile oil made my face really red and itchy. It doesn't smell that pleasant either. I think if you do a search of the web you should be able to find chamomile oil if you're interested in getting it. As well, I know that chains like Whole Foods will special order products too. Hope that helps! Guest guest
Hi all, A little info on this-- there are several types of chamomile, but the most common are German and Roman. They are somewhat different and German is better for rosacea. The main reason I am writing is that it is UNSAFE to place this directly on the skin undiluted. The only essential oils you can use straight are lavender and tea tree. If you want to use the chamomile as a treatment it need to be diluted in a carrier such as jojoba oil. One could probably use vita-oil for this since it is made of several carrier oils combined. Essential oils are found at just about any health food store. A great book for more info on essential oils is The Complete Book of Essential Oils & Aromatherapy by Ann Worwood. Hope this helps, Becky _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
