What is the correct order in which to complete the process?

Please help with some instructions.

I have to wait at least 6 weeks before my PCP will consider recommending me

for this surgery (due to severe anemia).

My husband has agreed to self pay in insurance won't pay.

I don't know the precise order in which to correctly do this.

Do I wait until my PCP recommends the surgery before I have a consultation

with Dr R or attend a clinic?

Do I go ahead and make an appointment with Dr R? Does it take long to get an

appointment?

I don't want to wait to get an appointment after the PCP recommends me ONLY

to then find out that it takes 2-3 months to get an appointment.

I want to streamline the process.

Any suggestions?
