Guest guest
gail, The cruise was a lot of fun. I didn't really do a lot of the things available because I was too tired. I also ended up getting cellulitis in my arm below the picc line. I had to get two rounds of IV rocefin to the tune of $700+ while on the ship. I have the itemized statements and based on what my insurance book says, I think it will be covered at 90% when I file it. I haven't posted much since getting back. We got back last Monday evening. My doctor wanted me to go to the ER that night so they could make sure the infection was better. We ended up getting home after midnight. Tuesday I was exhausted and spent the whole day unpacking and doing laundry. Wednesday I had an attack that wouldn't end so I was in the hospital by 2 p.m. This time my liver enzymes were in the 500-700 range, but my amylase was only 33. I got home from the hospital Saturday afternoon. I haven't felt much like posting. I just kind of feel bummed out right now. I'm trying to stay upbeat and not have a pity party, but I'm getting scared. I really have to be at work the rest of the week, but I don't see how I can manage it physically. I'll just have to do the best I can do and pray. Sorry to be so glum. I am normally pretty upbeat about my health issues, but today I just want to cry. W Re: to Weston I just got out of the hospital Saturday and I have been doing better. Not great, but better. More than anything right now I'm scared and want some answers as to why this keeps happening! > > W Dear ; I think everyone who has Pancreatitis is confused at some point. It is good to see you post. Did you have a good time on your cruise? I don't remember reading about it - if you posted and I missed it I am sorry. I guess it is a good sign that you like the doctor, but I am sure it is frustrating to have to wait. Hopefully they will be able to take care of everything and you will have a chance to let your body heal. It is also nice to hear your are feeling better - maybe it will get to great soon. I am glad to hear the biliary surgeon at UAB called your GI doctor. Hopefully he will get enough information so the tests will go smooth and he will have an idea of what to look for. I will post a reminder on the calendar on November 1st so we will remember your next appointment. I hope you feel better and the appointment goes well. Guest guest
W, I so glad that you do get to go on your cruise. So to hear about your infection from you picc line. And now your have had an attact since your back and spent several days in the hospital. I can only think of one good thing to tell you, it is that at least your Cp attack waited until you did get back from your cruise. I know that isn't much when you feel so conpletely warn out and to the place you want to cry. Maybe that what you do need to do is have a good cry and get it out of your system. Sometimes that's the only the that will make me feel better and then I able to think clearly again and pick up the peices to go on once again. This Cp is just plain crappy some days, well alot of them too. I hope you are feeling better by now and remember to just take it one day at a time, and with a little bit out luck, the sun will shine tomorrow and it will be a better day. I'll keep you in my prayers. Take Care, Louie in WV Re: to Weston I just got out of the hospital Saturday and I have been doing better. Not great, but better.
