Update on Shaelin

Hello everyone,

I have finally found some computer access at the hospital so feel

that I can finally connect with people again.

Shaelin has just completed his first week of IV antibiotics

(Tobramycin, Oxicillin and Ceftriaxin) and has adjusted well to being

in the hospital. He will probably be having sinus surgery sometime

next week as apparently he has some very large polyps that need to be

removed. Do these grow back and if so, how soon?? He will then need

two additional weeks of IV antibiotics which I am hoping to be able

to do at home. He feels well and is wild in the hospital especially

as they have restarted his albuterol and also put him on prednisone

(to decrease the sinus inflammation).

All of the hospital tips were great and have come in very handy -

especially the Clorax wipes. I couldn't believe how dirty things

like high chairs were!

I will keep you posted on our ongoing progress.

I am so glad you found the computer. Great news that Shaelin is doing a bit

better. your right about the hospitals & cleanliness..They think if they

wipe the floor with a dust mop that is good.....RIGHT......It just moves the

dust up to your nose easier, once stirred. BUT , am glad you doing stuff " to

help . I am thinking really strongly about you & yours at this time. best

wishes. Keep up on progress
