Guest guest
I've been having this wierd condition in my fingers and toes where they seem to be abnormally cold and kind of swollen, and the skin around the base of my fingernails seem to be thickening and developing a waxy consistency. I got worried and did a little research on the net and it turns out these are the exact symptoms of scleroderma, an autoimmune disorder! I know that many people feel there is a connection between rosacea and autoimmune dysfunction, but this is kind of scary since scleroderma can be potentially life- threatening. I have set up an appointment to see a rheumatologist next week, however I'm really wound up about this. I mean it ain't bad enough that I have a red face, but now I am worried about having thick, leathery skin and sausage fingers. Does anyone else here exhibit these symptoms? How did you treat them? Thanks.
