I called the hospital they told me to be there at 6:00 am. I am scheduled

for 9:00.

I didn't have to be there until three hour before the surgery. So, I am

planning to come about noon.

I will be staying at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott on Hillsborough RD. I will

go around 7 as suggested.

Pamela!!! For heavens sake!!! Be there when they tell you to be there. Why

on earth would you question direct orders??? I can tell you right now that

you are going to have problems if you are already not doing what you are told

to do. This is a great priviledge that you have been given to even get to

have this fantastic life changing surgery!!! Get with the program and be

there when they tell you to be there. Sometimes they get ahead of schedule

and your surgery time is moved up!! This isn't usually the case, but it DOES

happen. You want to be all ready to go. Take a book to read if you fear

being there too far in advance.

Suggestion..

Go when the hospital requests. There are many time factors there. One

being the availabilty of the 1 of 2 or rooms in which is not always

available. Also if Dr. R is running ahead of schedule and the room

is ready for him its possible you could go early. I ve seen this done

last week. I m not saying you will not wait around , and more than

likely you will but there could be a slight chance you could go ahead

of you origina scheduled time.....

Did you give them a phone number as to where you can be reached?

Sometimes, he is very much ahead of schedule and finishes cases early.

If you come at noon, I might miss ya too!

Thanks . You are so right and I was wrong. I appreciate

your bringing that to my attention. I will do as I am told. I guess

I just couldn't understand why I needed to be there so early, but it

doesn't matter. Orders are orders.....Thanks again for setting me

straight.

Quess who gets to be first? ME! I'm so excited. I think the reason they told

you 7:00 is that the schedule is not firm yet. Dr. R can change his mind up

to 1:00 PM on Sunday. I would call again and confirm your times tomorrow.
