Guest guest
Hi, I am trying to estimate how much my daughter should be eating, etc. Went to fitday but it insisted that the age must be >18. Wasn't able to create an account for her. So I created an account for myself but all the serving size, weight, etc is created for me and I cannot track hers. Please help. Guest guest
This was my response to : , You've made a mistake that is very, very easy to make. The current consumption numbers you listed are in grams and the " recommended " consumption numbers are in calories. There are 4 calories per gram of carbohydrate and protein and 9 calories per gram of fat. So, her current consumption was: 24g fat 147.5g carbs 72.5g protein The recommended consumption would be: 33.2g fat 124.5 g carbs 49.8g protein So, her calorie intake looks good, but she is getting too much protein and not enough fat. I would not reduce the amount of food that she is eating. Otherwise she will not be getting enough calories. Can she tolerate you cooking her chicken in a little olive oil to increase her fat intake? A little less chicken cooked in a little oil? Jody
