Guest guest
Marie,I have not tried it yet because he was just put on comounded nysastin and i want to make sure of any reaction to it.Once I am okay with the med i will tryit .He has been constipated lately going every third day-there,it is an obvious change since we hit the three month mark,it shows in his behaviours that have returned. My mom has always suggested a tiny bit of pure extra virgin olive oil.The only problem is getting the stuff in him.I have a fiew ideas but have tried nothing so far because of the new meds.Good luck,( it's fustrating isn't it). Toni Constipation problems/Vit. C Hi everyone, My 3 year old son dx with asd is still having consitaption problems. THis is a recent problem. He never had this problem before. We were not introducing new foods but actually had to stop the beans which may be part of the problem. I am feeling desperate because for the last two times we had to resort to using the infant suppository. Our D.A.N. doctor recommended increasing Vitamin C but with the recent posts I'm a bit concern. Increasing Vit.C hasn't helped either. Are there any suggestions??? Prune juice is one his regular pediatrician said we should do or mineral oil? Prune Juice is probably scd either. Spinach is high in oxalic acid levels from what I read in one of the posts. Could that have been the problem? I had been giving him cooked spinach. Thanks for any suggestions. Guest guest
What about sodium ascorbate? is that allowed? Maybe that will help instead of the reg. vit. c.. Guest guest
" What about sodium ascorbate? is that allowed? " Would that be a risk for messing up the electrolyte balance? I've never heard of it, but ingesting a lot of sodium doesn't seem like a good idea. But perhaps it's different...
