Hi,

I don't have any recommendations, but I was wondering this same

question for myself. I wonder if Dr. Sy might be able to recommend

someone....

Take care,

Hi Jane,

I am a Bitter, Sr. believer. Its just my opinion, but I

think he is the best practioner, so I no longer have any of his

nurses do my txs. I think if your case is severe, and/or unusual,

as mine is, then it is worth the trip to Los Gatos. However, if you

have a mild or standard case, then the nurses he trains may be

equally helpful.

It is true that the recommend time between txs is 3 weeks, but they

can be as close as 2 weeks, or as far apart as 4 weeks. I have even

had several months between txs, when I am trying alternative

therapies for my illness.

I must say, that it is rare for Dr. Bitter to cancel appts, so he

must have a good reason. If and when that happens, ask immediately

to be put on the cancelation list. People change their schedules

often, and spaces open up. I also suggest making 5 or 6 appts at

the same time, spaced 2 to 3 weeks apart, if you think its a

procedure you want to pursue. Again, if you decide its not for you,

or you have a scheduling conflict, you can cancel the appointment a

few days in advance, and then someone on the waiting list gets

called.

Good luck with your treatments. I hope you find it to be as helpful

as I have.

You have my sympathies, Jane. Almost half of my appts with Dr.

Bitter have had to be rescheduled due to either illness or scheduling

conflicts. My very first appt was also canceled, which brought me to

tears since I was so desperate for improvement. I guess that's the

price we pay for choosing someone who is in such high demand.

For what it's worth, I've had two sessions with Ann, an RN in

his office, and she is quite capable. From my conversations with her,

I've learned that Dr. Bitter invests quite a bit in his

practitioners, sending them all over the country for continuing

training in the latest developments. I've been quite pleased with my

results following treatments with her. I still don't quite

understand why you pay the same price, whether you treat with Dr.

Bitter or one of his nurses, though.

I also have to say, I've found his staff to be friendly and

professional (Los Gatos office). Dr. Bitter's assistant is

particularly friendly and seems very caring and compassionate.

Yes, absolutely. Just make the request when you book your appts.

It may take a bit longer to get in initially, but that's why I

suggest booking a series of appointments.

What u write is really scaring, cause I plan to travel

from Sweden to Los Gatos for photoderm treatments and

have them done by Dr Bitter, so it would be a

catastrof if he cancelled them, cause I must buy

flight tickets long before I will travel to get low

flightticket price..

Now Im clueless what to do.

Hi Kasja--My advice is to not schedule any appts on a Friday. Any of

mine that were canceled were on Fridays. :)

I should also add that, if you're coming that far, I'm sure they

would make every effort to squeeze you in the next day the dr. is

back. Since I am local and I think Jane is as well, they are not

likely to work with us as much to accommodate our schedules.
