Guest guest
Joia, have you asked the doctor why he wanted those tests taken. Sometimes you have to just ask or they go on and do their own thing. This isn't a select group, but many are too sick to read their posts every day and others are in and out depending upon how they are feeling that day and so it sometimes takes a while before you get an answer. Or it could be that no one at that time knew an answer to your question ( I don't remember what it was and my memory is so bad these days that I usually forget what I did the day before half the time. Memory loss is unfortunately a side effect of most pain meds). As for your amylase levels, it is possible to have normal levels and still have problems with pancreatitis, but it is usually preceded by pain, diahhrea and/or vomiting (in any combination or alone). If you've had one case, it's usually a good idea to keep an eye on your levels, keep on a low fat diet and avoid alcohol like the plague. If you continue to show symptoms (even sporadically), and your current GI isn't helping, get another one. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
