Guest guest
I've had the same experience! I just can't get on top of the rosacea. Every time my skin is good and I think I've finally figured out how to manage it, I get another flare. I'm in my worst flare ever right now, skin red and itchy, pustules everywhere, face all round and swollen. I have absolutely no idea what caused it. I don't think my rosacea is aggravated by any foods, though, but by hormones and stress. Right now the stress at work is very intense, which corresponds to my worst ever rosacea flare. On another note, has anyone else noticed an increase in the amount of spam they receive since joining this newsgroup? I get 4-5 junk messages a day. Just wondering if the increase in spam is related to my joining this newsgroup, as the two events coincide in time. Re: arginine and Keloids Hi, I too came to the same conclusion after reading about arginine and lysines. I stopped eating foods high in arginine only and also started taking the L-Lysine. My face was great for about 3 weeks! I thought, again, I had found the solution for me. Last wednesday my cheeks and jawline started getting very red and it lasted through saturday, that is the longest " flare " I've ever had so it was scary. By sunday morning my face looked like I have no rosacea and today it looks even better. I have been on a high protein, very low carb diet for months and keep a daily food and activity diary. For the life of me I can not figure out what foods trigger my rosacea. I can eat almost exactly the same menu on different days and one day I'll have absolutely no reaction and other days I will. Personally I tend to think that my rosacea is more controlled by my personal monthly cycle and changes in hormonal and other levels than by what I eat. .....but bottom line is I DONT KNOW.
