Guest guest
Hi- I'm new to the group- and very new to the diet. My son(almost 5 yr old) is on his 4th day of the SCD.dIAGNOSED WITH REGRESSIVE AUTISM. He's having a really hard time.... Day 1 he brought me every " PECS " picture asking for all his fave foods....and cheated....accidentally getting a hold of a handful of grapenuts....Our home has now been cleaned out- top to bottom...... Of course he refused intro diet foods.....just drank water/ grape juice.hAD ONE BOWEL MOVEMENT.....NASTY GREEN. Day 2 Very hungry at this point......went alittle crazy. Very aggressive with me etc. He ate 2 eggs!!!!! I was on cloud nine!!! He's never eaten egg before. (He's so so so picky. Been GFCFplus soy free for 2 years......and limited himself to mostly fruit/nutbutter sandwiches on rice bread, chips, fries etc.) After those first 2-2 1/2 eggs......he stopped eating......NO POOPS. Day 3 Very lethargic-hanging on the sofa......not so aggressive toward me........still refusing all intro diet foods......only drinking water/ welches grape juice...... Day 4- today- threw up when eggs were presented......(only water he had just sipped down) ...slight temperature.....99.6 Very lethargic....still on sofa.....very whiney.....still drinking alternating water..and welches/water. Oh yah- the first 2 days....I was still trying to give him supplements....(we've been with a DAN doctor for 2 years too.....) But he is totally non complaint again......he use to take them willingly in applesauce......anyway.....I made pear sauce....... AM thinking his refusal had something to do with the pear sauce......The last 2 days I've just stopped supplements......thinking maybe he'll wake up the next day.....happy. Could really use some input. Concerned he hasn't had a bowl movement since Day 1. (He use to have 3-6 BM's a day.) If all these microbes/yeasts are being killed off.....if he's not moving? Where are they /their toxins going???? Thanks for your input! Acree joey 5 yr-autism- 4 day scd
