Guest guest
Hi everyone, My son's Kindergarten teacher may have a hampster given to her for the classroom. Do any of you have a hampster or have contact with one? If so, how are your lungs? Is it hard to breathe? Do they carry any type of disease like birds do? How dirty are they? She asked for my permission and I told her that I'd ask his Dr. I'd like any advice from anyone of you first. I want to know if I should have any doubts or concerns. I want to feel comfortable with the decision I make regarding the outcome of your comments on this issue. Firsthand knowledge is always the best Thanks, from PA

Guest guest
Thanks Becky....personal experience is good to hear and that it isn't causing any respiratory problems for your son. Thanks, from PA
Guest guest
Ricky has his own hamster and I have noticed no problems with it respiratory-wise. Do ask the doctor, though.
