Guest guest
I am so please he added the last item regarding extensive education a- --follow up. I am so amazed when I read other post ops(I mean Other drs patients) and some seem so clueless, bragging about eating this and doing that.....(things DR R PROHIBITS.like drinking alcohol etc) No wonder his patients(DR R's ) do so well. He could not have left that off. I think it should be #1 personally....but then again leaving it last gives them something to think about ..... Do you have time to show any more visuals?ie pre and post op patients in a quick slideshow demonstrating how quickly the whole perioperative phase goes? THAT is impressive..... Guest guest
Hi, Alot of your stuff is coming out like this. Leak Leak is one of the most feared complications of gastric bypass. It can be protean in its manifestations and lethal if not treated expeditiously. In this series of Mini-Gastric Bypass the overall rate of leaks was 1.7%. This rate declined markedly throughout the series. This rate compares favorably to other reported series. All on one side.... but it looks great!!!!!!!!!!!! a " Rutledge, M.D., F.A.C.S. Guest guest
Dear Dr. Rutledge, Your paper was very informative. It looks like you are all ready for Memphis. There was only one thing that I wanted to ask you about which may or may not be a question of your colleagues. There is a chart (in your paper) comparing the different Gastric Bypass Surgeries in relation to time spent in the OR, blood loss, ICU and hospital stays. My question is with the laproscopic surgery are the surgeons performing the Roux-en-Y or the Bill Roth II proceedure? Using that determination, how long has the laproscopic approach been available to obese patients? Are the figures over that period of time or are they matched with the period of time that you have been performing the MGB. I hope my questions are not too taxing, I am just curious. I want to be as informed and question, as you suggested to me earlier, before I have this surgery. Good luck with your speech and have a wonderful vacation, just don't forget to come back to Durham and continue your journey...smile. Sincerely, Love is very patient and kind...
