Hi Greg

From what I can understand from Dr Nase's book, your derm was correct. The

damaged blood vessels need to be eradicated. i am sure that I rememeber

reading that dr. nase syas that the topicals are only treating the symtpoms

and not the cause which is vascular in nature. A recent trip to my derm

almost revealed the same thing. he suggested that I have the broken

capillaries zapped. In naother place in dr. nase's book he says that unless

there is flushing, it is not true rosacea. The 2 (flushing and the damaged

vascular system) are closely related in rosacea..

Like you I am confused. I have a few patches of spidery broken blood vessels

but I am not a flusher or blusher. I may get a little pink if I walk in a

icy wind or spend time in the sun ( without a sunscreen ) but I never get

red.

I am looking forward to how this question is answered.

I have just received dr. nase's book and I am overwhelmed by the amount of

info.

Take care

Just had a Dr. visit and I'm pretty confused

Hi --I was diagnosed with rosacea about 5 years before I ever

started flushing. But when I did, it came on with a vengeance. I

agree, get rid of those veins before they become a problem. :)

DO NOT use the Alpha Hydroxy sample she gave you. If you do have

rosacea it will make it much worse in the long run.

Find another dermatologist, or better yet, research

alternative treatments and take a look at your diet.

i think it's really important for us

all

to remember:

if a doctor says something

that sounds

outrageous

to us

or gives us a diagnosis

that really doesn't gibe

with what we've learned

it's a

reasonable

course of action

to get another opinion ...

trust people
