Bridget, I wouldn't recommend taking medication over those symptoms

until you know what's going on. If there's any risk of an allergic or

hypersensitivity reaction involving the upper airway with potential

swelling, it's too dangerous to proceed.

There are a few things it could be, which I think can be sorted out

with an exam and lab work -- but, you have to have the symptoms at

the time of exam. No matter how well you describe your symptoms,

there are too many overlapping possibilities.

(If you're already done that, what have your physicians told you?)
