Hello everyone,

I am so sorry for being gone so long. I went out of town to a music festival

last weekend, returned to discover all the tornados that swept through

Tennessee, Ohio, and Indiana, and my computer had crashed. I was able to get

it going a bit, but couldn't access my mail.

I have been so busy. I want to tell you everything, but don't know where to

start. The items on the agenda range from the (unfortunate, but necessary)

housekeeping issues to progress report and plan of action for implementation

of ideas generated at the Symposium as well as those discussed on the

discussion (message) board to exciting new program development that have come

from literature, recently published books on Pancreatitis, and studying with

experts in the field of nutrition and pain control. There are many options

that I know I have not tried.

I apologize that I have not been able to read my mail, I scanned the titles

and I see that I do have some personal mail. I will get to that as soon as I

can. I am so happy to see so many people asking questions and so many people

sharing their experiences when they were in the same situation. I want to

thank all of you who take the initiative to make new members feel welcome.

When I was in the Smokey Mountains, playing my autoharp and dulcimer,

singing, and spending time with friends, I was overwhelmed with sensory

stimulation from the incredible strength that surrounded me. Driving home

through the thunder and lightening, I was again surrounded by the strength of

nature. Living with a disease that often seems to take the wind from me, this

past weekend was an opportunity of empowerment that saturated my soul.

I will get to work to try and catch up. To let you know in advance, I will be

out of town from 11/22 through 12/2. Unlike last weekend, I will have access

to a computer this time and will check when I can.
