Guest guest
Rosemary, Eilish loves going to clinic. She loves seeing the Dr. Her favourite thing is if the Dr says she has to be admitted (weirdo child), she says " Yeah I'm going to the Reward (instead of ward). At least there is no tears when its clinic day, well not from her anyway. Re: CHERI-visit to CF CEnter I always feel like I am going to hell and back when I go to CF CEnter. Kids hate it. They see it as more meds will be added. I am depressed going and coming! I try to tell myself its good - it helps them - w/o it they would be worse but damn its tough telling yourself how good it is for them when no one wants to be there. I hate being the adult. After CF Center they either get Dunkin Donuts or a hot dog from Street Vendor - they love the treats - we love the calories....bribery does wonders!!! When I go to the Center I bring everything but the kitchen sink to keep them happy. Gameboy, food, drinks, paper, pens, etc. pack for the day! It seems like an enternity! I have to take LAuren (12) and Dylan (6) on Thursday. I dread it too. I know they will get Flu Shots so I will have candy in my pocketbook. It sucks but we have to do it. Rosemary in New York with 3 children with CF - they are 12, 9.11, 6...I coined the phrase " BREATHE DAMMIT " ; and now we have a dog named - are you ready for this - TOBI after their medication! Guest guest
Dear Gale, Your response to Rosemary was just what we all feel too!.She is amazing. Even with all she has to do, she is there for us all. She seems to know just when to pop in & what to say. Makes you really think a problem out. We all thank her. I also want to tell you I feel your doing all the right button pushing you can to get the help you need for yours. I pray the other family does the same if needed. LOVE & HUGS, grandmomBEV Rosemary I am really impressed with your response. You are right. I would not have thought of it in this way, if I had not read your response. You are truely special. You have three children wcf and yet you are compassionate towards others. Gale > At 9.5 I think the kid is old enough to know better. She does have issues > and I would never leave them unsupervised. > > If the mother was a friend, which are hard to find, don't lose the friendship > over it. Our kids have CF and cough - some kids have other issues. My son > has a boy with severe emotional issues in his class. He cries over anything > that goes wrong for a long time (he is 10). I have told my son you have > physical problems some people have mental problems and cannot help themselves > we don't judge them because they can't help it. I have told him when this > child has an outburst to walk away - he starts out crying and whoever > interferes gets hit...... > > I always remember when people don't want there kids playing with my kids > cause they think they are sick cause they cough - that hurt. > > > > Rosemary in New York with 3 children with CF - they are 12, 10, 6...I coined > the phrase " BREATHE DAMMIT " ; and now we have a dog named - are you ready for > this - TOBI after their medication! > > >
Guest guest
IS RIGHT! Get a 504 exemption (in the United States) and it is against Federal and State Law to penalize your child for absence due to illness! n Rojas
