Guest guest
Thanks for the info. I'm not to that point yet but if I get there I'll remember your advice. I've heard a lot about tpn but when I read about it on the internet, it said it can be VERY hard on your liver, kidneys, and heart. Hopefully, I'll never have to consider either one. W Feeding Tube About a year ago, my wife also had a feeding tube (J-Tube) inserted. We recently had that removed because it seemed to cause as much or more trouble than the pancreatitis, and she really did not use it as much as she thought she would to gain weight. Yes, she has a scar where it was, but she is really glad she had it removed. Even when she was doing tube feedings 5 times per day she could not gain any weight. I don't recommend the feeding tube to anyone unless it is a life or death situation that they have one. It's a lot of maintenance, expense, and in the end, not worth it. Adios.
