yeh they are a hassle

I had one this year for 3 months it kept me alive I couldnt eat

I have had 3

when you aint got a choice there ok. But avoid at all costs

Thanks for the info. I'm not to that point yet but if I get there I'll remember

your advice. I've heard a lot about tpn but when I read about it on the

internet, it said it can be VERY hard on your liver, kidneys, and heart.

Hopefully, I'll never have to consider either one.

Feeding Tube

We recently had that removed because it seemed to cause as much or

more trouble than the pancreatitis, and she really did not use it as

much as she thought she would to gain weight.

Yes, she has a scar where it was, but she is really glad she had it

removed. Even when she was doing tube feedings 5 times per day she

could not gain any weight. I don't recommend the feeding tube to

anyone unless it is a life or death situation that they have one.

It's a lot of maintenance, expense, and in the end, not worth it.
