Claire,

Hi, how are you? I'm doing great! I had blood work done, and the saturday

right before our surgery, my triglycerides were at 1200. My doctor was

worried that we need to give it more time to go down, so we did it last

week, and are you ready............

4/8/00 1200

6/7/00 204

My doctor was SHOCKED!!!

Everything in all my bloodwork, and I mean he did everything possible, came

back normal!!! He told me, I have really made a believer in him from this

surgery!! It was a thrill! I to would like a roll call on our " wonderful,

special, and never to be forgotten litter " .

I really do miss you all alot!! Everytime people talk about their litter, my

days in NC are like they happened yesterday!!

Take care, Oh, I have lost about 40 pounds!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miss you all,

Tonni

<< Can anyone shed any light on all of this before I have a nervous

breakdown?

About to panic in Columbia, Teilah >>

The Patient Manual and the website are extremely blunt about the dangers of

this surgery. It IS a life/death situation and not to be taken lightly. I'm

sorry that you are so dismayed with the news of 's death and Theresa's

illness. Please go back through the archives on the website to see how we've

all coped with these situations. You'll find that we've pulled together and

become even more cohesive as a group. Now, look at the numbers: nearly 700

surgeries and there has been one death NOT directly associated with the

procedure. Considering the low quality of my life prior to the MGB, I was

aware of the danger and chose to take the chances anyway. Please stay brave

and seek our group's support to stay strong and have courage. We are all

here to support you; don't let what you've just found out throw you off-cours
