Guest guest
Is your youngest nursing? 3-4 nursings a day provide plenty of calcium. Also a well made bone broth will give a lot more calcium (ounce for ounce) than milk will so that is another option. Guest guest
Thanks, Patty. Yes, my youngest is still nursing. I feel relieved now. And the bone broth is a great idea. molly > > > > I'm worried that one of my kids is not getting enough calcium. How about yogurt smoothies with honey to sweeten and some fruit. My kids like theirs with honey and ripe banana. Sheila
Guest guest
Almond have a ton of calcuim in them as well. My little girl hasn't had dairy in over 4 years and is the tallest in her class and has never had one cavity. The calcium in greens and almonds is actually more bio available than that of cows milk anyway. > > > > I'm worried that one of my kids is not getting enough calcium. Guest guest
Wow! Thanks so much for all your great and incredibly helpful replies. My daughter definitely gets lots of dark green leafy vegetables and dark green veggies. She also gets almond flour in baked goods and pancakes. So...I feel much better now and am relieved to know she is surely getting enough. Thanks, everyone. > > > > > > I'm worried that one of my kids is not getting enough calcium. Guest guest
If you want to calculate her intake, you can use the US Nutrient Database (found online). You can type in what you are looking for and it gives detailed nutritional information about the item. It's a very handy resource.
