Guest guest
, I went to the Mayo after I had all of those tests done. They were able to do other tests there to see if I had pancreatitis that can be done in other places. The pancreatic function test is one of the many tests that is done there and not throughout the US. This test is not approved by the FDA, but it is the most accurate at seeing how much function the patient'spancreas actually has. I would suggest going to the Mayo. I had a wonderful experience there. Because of my visiting the Mayo and their diagnoses of chronic pancreatitis I have found it a lot easier when I go to a new doctor or to the ER. > Crystal Galloway I have recently been dealing with the Cleveland Clinic and am not that impressed. Jenise Jenise and Crystal, Thank you both for posting your individual opinions on the Mayo Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic. These opinions are valuable and so helpful for others who are faced with difficult choices and trying to make a wise decision concerning their healthcare. Jenise, if you could go into detail a little more on why you were not impressed by the Cleveland Clinic, it would help everyone that was interested. It would make it easier for others to consider clinics our members have been patients at if they knew the postives and the negatives, especially if they were doing a search of the archives at a later date. Thank you both for your comments. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina Southeastern Representative Pancreatitis Association, Intl.
