Guest guest
Anybody that has had steroid induced rosacea, what course of treatment did you pursue, for how long, and how effective was it? Does everybody have permanent skin damage from the steroid rosacea or do some people go back to having " normal " skin? For those that used Protopic, what kind of dosing regimen did you use and for how long? I was just diagnosed with rosacea a week ago....been using desonide on an increasing basis in the past year, and am searching for what my options are. My dermatologist prescribed oral erythromycin, topical metrocream, and 2 1/2 percent hydrocortisone, and I don't want to use a topical steroid any longer whatsoever....will be getting a second opinion as soon as I can. I'd like to hear your two cents, if you've already been down this road, please! thanks, Theresa
Guest guest
ive heard desowen has a form of steroid in it from other postings so beware. protopic i use daily ,at first anad as the condition betters i ween myself of it, to a l point where iused it once a week. then whewn flare ups arrive apply accordingly. lots of water, etc. i have steroid induced roscacea and was on steroids for 6 years . protopic avoids the steroid rebound aswell . i assure you its well worth the try,and youll be pleasantly happy compared to other things you have tried . imho dave --- theresaliu@... wrote: > Anybody that has had steroid induced rosacea, what course of treatment > did you pursue, for how long, and how effective was it?
