(specific seritonin reuptake inhibitor) mao's are very old antidepressants and are hardly ever used anymore except in very dire circumstances. cyndi [low dose naltrexone] SKIP or CYNDI! Guest guest Posted August 21, 2006 Report Share Posted August 21, 2006 your right about that. and unfortunely this is not new news. this was apparent as soon as the ssris came out. i am proponet that if someone has to be on an antidepressant they need to have counseling to go along with it especially at the beginning. (i think that antidepressants can be great things but they are given out like vitamins--no I take that back-i think most prescribers will write for an ssri before they would recommend some kind of suppliment) anyway back to my story here. when someone is profoundly depressed and they take ssri's they work very fast and the person who was depressed can remember how depressed they were. it usually on the way up- they kill themselves. cyndi [low dose naltrexone] Re: SKIP or CYNDI!
